Ladurée: Crème de le macaron

On top of our to do list in Milan was to go to Ladurée. As we swung open the door and stepped inside, it was a dream come true. We took our macarons to go in their trademark pastel green bag and ate them in front of the Teatro alla Scala, the world renown opera house. They were delightful and made to perfection. It is no surprise that Ladurée has its name. 

After our decadent snack we walked to the Navigli Canals, stopping at boutiques along the way. We bought a rich dessert at a local bakery and ate it on the tram ride back to the city center. The trams really added to the city. We couldn't picture Milan without them. 

It was the perfect day, filled with sweet little treats.
