Favorite Things of 2011

2011. What a year it has been. Our blog is now officially one year old and we look forward to sharing even more with you in the upcoming year. So without further ado, here are our favorite things of 2011 (click here for last year's).

1. Archie Grand notebooks
These notebooks come in an array of must-have colors, with equally charming titles. The pages are crisp & blank, perfect for jotting down just about anything.

2. Oh, Lola! Eau de Parfum by Marc Jacobs
With so many fragrance options out there, it is difficult to choose your signature fragrance. When we came across Oh, Lola!, it was love at first scent. We love that it is light and not too overpowering. And the bottle is a work of art.

3. Ladurée: The Sweet Recipes Cookbook
Our favorite momento from our trip to Milan is the Ladurée cookbook. While we were busy choosing our macaron flavors, our mom came across the cookbook but it was in French. Luckily they had an English translation so we could make our favorite dessert at home. The cookbook is soft to the touch with a suede jacket and the pages have gold edges.

4. Céline Phantom Luggage Tote
We first laid eyes on this bag while shopping on Via Montenapoleone, aka the Fifth Avenue of Milan. We wanted the Luggage Tote at first but we love the details of the Phantom, from the braided zipper to the expandable sides. It's roomier as well compared to the Luggage Tote and who doesn't love more room in their bag?

5. Apple iPhones
Probably the best purchases we made this year for obvious reasons. Our favorite app?

6. butter LONDON nail polishes
We have recently been substituting our beauty products for more natural options. First up, nail polish. butter LONDON sent us these fantastic colors to test out. butter LONDON is a 3 Free company, meaning that their product line doesn't contain formaldehyde, toluene or DBP. Many major nail care brands unfortunately use these chemicals which are highly carcinogenic. If you use butter LONDON, you get color, not carcinogens!

7. Our trip to Milan over the summer was unforgettable. We saw so many great things, it was truly was a feast for the eyes. We have so many great memories and cannot wait to go back to this wonderful city!

8. Favorite Brand Discovery: Lazzari
While in Verona, Italy we discovered Lazzari, a chic Italian brand. We instantly fell in love with their designs. Check out their video on the homepage of their A/W collection!
9. Last but certainly not least, our annual favorite bible verse:
"I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth...I myself will see him with my own eyes." ~ Job 19:25, 27

These verses really encouraged us during the course of this year.

Happy New Year!!! XOXO~KimChicSisters

Retro Trench

This trenchcoat was one of my last purchases while I was in Milan over the summer. I love that it is not your typical trench coat but it still feels iconic. A trench coat, with or without a twist, is most certainly a must have in every girl's closet.
